What’s new in the edible market for 2019?
Entering the cannabis space in 2018, was a great year for NeutriSci International Inc. (Toronto – TSX-V: NU | Frankfurt – 1N9 | OTCQB: NRXCF) as they developed key relations in the cannabis sector and look to capitalize in 2019 with strategic expansion plans.
Originally, NeutriSci started off as a nutraceuticals company partnering up with ChromaDex Corp, which tested for the FDA and US Department of Health; they discovered the main essential bioactive components from blueberries is called pterostilbene, which has antioxidant and anticancer properties.
Today, it is the key active component in their product Neuenergy; is a clinically proven, great tasting chewable tablet that provides a quick clean boost of energy and focus, all powered by the goodness of blueberries anti-oxidants, without any sugar or that awful caffeine crash. It’s because of the form factor and fast acting ingredients associated with the product that has garnered interest from the cannabis industry and in addition to the delivery system in the sublingual tablet. The advantage is how quickly, efficiently and effectively it is absorbed into the bloodstream, thereby having the ability to infuse THC or the CBD.
“Our entrance into that space as has garnered, like I said a lot of interest and it has been fruitful for us. You know 2018 has been one of the partnerships, there’s still more to come and I look forward to 2019 being the execution on those partnerships and the expansion of the distribution of the finished product,” reported Glen Rehman, CEO of NeutriSci. Glen goes on further to state another advantage of NeutriSci is that they are a finished product kind of company. Hence, because they are at the end of the line of products and their product is ready for distribution, this makes them more desirable than other companies that may be in other phases of cannabis product development.
In 2019, NeutriSci plans on expanding into Canada and the U.S. while announcing a plan for further international expansion into South America, South Korea, Japan, Australia and further destinations to be announced. They look to capitalize on licensing, labeling, branding and other collaborative projects that would help expand their reach. They also look to increase sales revenues for Neuenergy products while building out their product line internationally.
One of the main trends that Glen sees today is the flushing out and refinement of product lines. Glen sees the voice of consumer demand having a more significant place in consumer design and the finished products, “I see that at varying levels that we’re dealing with are greater than others California as an example is much more advanced than other countries, also California it is much more and by way of experience than most, so I just see it more refining of that and more flushing out product lines.
It will be an exciting year NeutriSci, as they plan to strengthen their current relationships while looking for opportunities to further their brand and expansion distribution plans internationally. Keep your eye on this company as they look to be quite active in 2019!
